it's your life too, I'm just taking credit for it.
posting is a frame of mind. it comes in fits and spurts for me. right now I'm in an expressive frame of mind waiting for reality to smack me in the face.
Met up with Avery, Cline, and crew at Bimbos to experience Zooey Deschanel and M Ward's collaboration, "She and Him".
The rich man's Katie Perry sings alright. A combo of classics and new material make for a trip to someplace familiar. Pour a short one, one part lonely, one part lover, and one part forlorn, add a tang of country and a twist of campfire singalong. The future is all about the torch. Reminded me of Linda Rondstadt. I especially liked the duos they played without the backing band. M Ward's guitar played all the parts; lead, drum, and bass.
And what's not to like, a pretty girl, with a great presence who gets out the vote and openly endorses Obama. My hearts still smokin'. But, now that I've played that song a couple times I'm getting kind of tired of it. oh well...
