1968 Porsche 912 Targa Soft Window
Rudy bought a Porsche project car. Definitely a change for the better, his previous fascination with Land Rovers was novel, but the british are horrible auto manufacturers. I'm a firm believer in German Engineering, there's nothing better to spend your idle hours wrenching on.
The car has been sitting since 84, so in addition to pumping up a couple tires, we had to remove the calipers to unfreeze the rotors. The oil in the engine seemed halfway decent, but its likely that most everything will have to come off the engine, be inspected, cleaned, and put back together again. definitely a project.
The interior is pretty simple, black and brushed aluminum. nice instrument cluster. probably the coolest thing was the childish "sorry" scrawled/scratched into the glove compartment cover.
The complete tool set and original owners manual were also in the car, score. The manual includes instructions on cleaning the carbs and and other gentlemanly activities.
